Excellent for cars with aftermarket bumpers who are not able to use on our license plate mounts designed for use in the factory tow hook boss. Rennline’s tow hook receiver license plate mount eliminates the need to drill and allows you to easily remove your plate for shows, track events or anytime it is not needed. The last thing you want to do is drill holes in your very expensive bumper cover just to mount that ugly front tag. PS- Was just thinking, the grill slats on our GTS might be different than others are, so YMMV.Most automobiles come from the factory without the provisions for front license plates due to the fact that many states and countries do not require a plate on the front.

You might get a tiny amount of slide in the bracket vertically, but you can use a couple of smal pieces of 3m two sided emblem tape to keep the bracket from shifting at all. Trim off excess zip tie inside the cavity. You'll want to use the heavier and longer zip ties, so you have enough to work with and to snug up the bracket.įeed the male end of the zip tie out through one of the holes you drilled in the plate bracket, and then around behind the grille slats and bring it back in the other hole in the bracket, and attach through female end, just enough to catch (but don't tighten it yet), do the same to the other side first, then tighten them both up inside the plate bracket cavity making your bracket snug up to the bumper. There's a molding cavity on each side of the plastic plate bracket to drill 2 holes (one above the other) into on each side to put the zip ties through ( You will want the zip tie heads to be in the cavity so the plate sits flush). I'm sure once you take your plastic factory bracket and turn it upside down, you'll see that it still fits perfectly on the bumper, just in a slightly different height and see what I am referring to.
